Typewritten and bound transcript of an interview conducted by Rebecca Ream for the Missionary Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 12 Jan. 1993. Carlson describes her early life in Fremont, Wayne County, Utah. She discusses her decision to serve a mission for the Mormon Church. She talks about her experiences in the North Central States Mission, primarily in Grandforks, North Dakota and in Livingston, Montana. She tells about her relationships with other missionaries and about the nature of the work.
